At Three Horse Farm our full service training program is dedicated to developing each horse and rider's full potential. Each horse receives immaculate care with no detail over looked. We keep our horses content so that they are able to perform at their best. Our individualized programs are tailored to bring success to each personal goal, whether in the show ring or around the barn. We offer both full training and part training. Full training includes 5 days of lessons and/or rides per week while part training includes 3 days of lessons and/or rides per week.
We also take pride in offering a prestigious lesson program. We set a challenging and attainable path for all levels of riders, from first timers to experienced show competitors. We provide excellent horses to riders who have yet to get their own. Our students are able to reach their goals through a series of private and small group lessons. We also offer horses for full and partial lease.
Katie has earned her USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze Medals as well as USDF Gold, Silver and Bronze Freestyle Bars. She has won many USDF All-Breed Championships and CDS/USDF Championship Awards with her own horses as well as client horses. She has graduated USDF “L” Judging Program with distinction. She had ridden with a number of top international trainers and Olympic riders. Currently she and KM Dressage students have to opportunity to work with retired O-judge and active S-judge Axel Steiner.
Along with being a successful competitor to Grand Prix, Katie takes pride in developing horses and riders, regardless of their competitive aspirations. She works with all skill level of riders, all breeds of horses, young horse to Grand Prix, mares, geldings, stallions. Her utmost goal for each rider is to build a confident, trusting relationship with his/her horse through Basics and effective rider understanding so that both horse and rider enjoy their “jobs.”
Meet Erik Martin
Erik has been starting horses for over 20 years. He has competed many years in Working Cow horse and Cutting competitions, including World’s Richest and many Snaffle Bit Futurities with much success riding many well know horses and their off-spring.
Katie and Erik believe the best way to set up a horse for success for the rest of his career is by giving him a good start as a young horse. Erik strives to teach his young horses ride ability, trainability, and confidence. He clearly explains to his horses their “job” so they know what is expected of them and develops confidence in the horse. Erik works with all breeds of horses and their owners, in the saddle and on the ground, to help build a lifelong relationship of understanding and respect for both parties. Erik has a clear understanding of what is required of dressage or jumping horse as well as a horse headed for any western discipline, ensuring your horse gets the best start possible. Erik’s experience and understanding brings a fresh view and strong foundation to all our dressage horses and riders.
GD Performance Horses is Home of NRHA Professional Gabe Davide. Gabe focuses on training and showing Open and Non Pro reiners as well as coaching Non Pros. He is well respected and successful trainer who has proven to be one of the top trainers in the industry. He trains and shows his horses with one goal in mind, "Consistent performance at the horses highest potential."
At GD Performance Horses every horse gets treated as an individual. Gabe’s experience and his commitment to excellence allows him to adapt his training approach to each and every horse in order to guide any horse to success and consistency.
Gabe is not only a successful Open rider but also guides his Non Pro clientele to success at WCRHA and NRHA events.
Gabe starts young horses whether for reining, or any Western discipline. Working in the round pen and the arena, his goal is to develop the horse in a calm, accepting environment where the young horse learns with trust and confidence.
